RABBIT HOLE

While doing research for some writing projects not related to my novel, I ended up falling down a rabbit hole with several hours of my life gone FOREVER. Know the feeling?! One article I read had a link to a different article. That article led to a blog. The blog had a ton of good ideas all with links for more ideas and more links. I felt like I’d been holding my breath underwater for several hours. I emerged with massive headache and several hours–POOF!–gone.

I think the modern nomenclature for this is INFORMATION OVERLOAD. Brain status: Melted

Today’s Word:

1. to put into a state of little or no sensibility; benumb the faculties of; put into a stupor.

2. to stun, as with a narcotic, a shock, or a strong emotion.
