ON IGNORANCE AND BANNED BOOKS

Writer: franmasonfranmason

I've read dozens and dozens of banned books and here's my take away. I became a more empathic, better informed, more well-rounded person as a result of reading these books. This is the very opposite of a bad thing.

May I suggest that we open our hearts and minds to perspectives, situations, and histories we might not fully understand or that may be different from our own.

"Ignorance is an enemy even to its owner. Knowledge is a friend even to its hater. Ignorance hates knowledge because it is too pure. Knowledge fears ignorance because it is too sure."
