CARTOONING FOR KIDS
This beginner’s cartooning class will introduce students to the five basic elements of drawing a cartoon strip: character development, facial expressions, action/line of action, word art and dialogue, and developing a storyline. We will create a full color 4-panel strip as our final project. Developmentally, this class is best for older students (4th grade and up).
 
Units include:
1. Developing your characters
2. Facial expressions
3. Basic shape method for drawing the figure
4. Developing a story/storyboarding
5. Special effect lettering
6. Line of action 
7. Create an original comic strip
 
Recommended age: 10 and up; all classes must have a minimum of 6 students
